Biography of Swami Satyananda Giri
Swami Satyananda Giri was a very important spiritual leader who learned kriya yoga directly from Lahiri Mahasaya. He was very respected by many people.He was born on 5th February 1896, in a small village name Lakshmikantapur in West Bengal of India. From a young age, Satyananda Giri exhibited a deep inclination toward spirituality and a profound thirst for knowledge.
In his teenage, Satyananda Giri searched for a spiritual teacher to help him achieve enlightenment. It was during this search that he met the great saint, Lahiri Mahasaya, who was a direct disciple of the legendary master, Mahavatar Babaji.
