What is the Meaning of Death

The Death of the body is not Death. And for this, we die, cry, weep. Nachiketa desired death. What is death - this is what he asked. One should know all these secrets. In the Gita, God said that death has to be learned. The one who dies normally then takes birth again – that is not called Death. Only that is called death when there is no need to take birth again. Death is the name of attaining immortality.

देह का मरण, मरण नहीं है। और हमलोग इसी के लिए मरते हैं, रोते हैं, विलखते हैं।नचिकेता नें मरण चाहा । मृत्यु क्या चीज है- यही पूछा। ये सब रहस्य को जानना चाहिए। गीता में भगवान् ने कहा कि, मरण सीखना होगा। जो ऐसे मरता है, वो तो फिर जन्म ले लेता है-उसको मरण नहीं कहते हैं। मरण उसी को कहते हैं जब फिर जनमना नहीं पडे। अमरत्व -लाभ करने का ही नाम मरण है ।
